Tejas Centennial Fund

Since 2020 we have carried out a successful fundraising campaign largely through monthly giving from over 100 men. We came in short of our goal, but recently passed $300,000. This is allowing us to perform much needed renovations focused on the long term (see below).

The Tejas Foundation has exhaustively researched all of the housing options available to us, and it leads to one conclusion: we must invest in the Tejas House at 2600 Rio Grande Street as our home for the future.

With proper funding we are able to work on projects that make for a more resilient 2600 Rio Grande and the names you see below are to thank for this.

The Centennial Plan

A total renovation of the Tejas House is essential. The projects we have prioritized are close to $1 million and in 2022 we commenced the repairs. The House was built in 1907 and has been the home of the Tejas Club for 65 years and the wear and tear is substantial. For most of us, Tejas is that place at 26th and Rio Grande. Our memories are there, our friendships are there, and it continues to hold a precious place in our hearts.
